Manager/Supervisor
Job Summary: The Contract Manager leads daily custodial operations across administrative, academic, fitness, child-development, and special-access spaces on a federal installation. This role is the primary point of contact for the customer and is responsible for staffing, daily execution, route performance, quality control, issue resolution, and compliant use of approved supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the on-site operational lead and customer-facing manager for the contract.• Deploy daily staffing, approve route adjustments, and keep building schedules aligned to service windows.
• Lead start-up, training, and labor planning for special spaces, including fitness, child-program, and escorted-access facilities.
• Review quality-control inspections, deficiency trends, and corrective actions; ensure same-shift recovery when practical.
• Coordinate equipment readiness, stock levels, and approved product usage across all janitorial closets and work areas.
• Maintain records for schedules, complaints, incident follow-up, and customer communications.
• Be reachable during duty hours and able to respond on installation within the required timeframe.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of custodial, facilities, or housekeeping management experience in a multi-building environment.• Supervisory experience leading crews, resolving staffing gaps, and coaching employees to standard.
• Working knowledge of inspection-based quality control, daily workloading, supply accountability, and safety practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain installation access and pass customer-required background screening.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication, documentation, and schedule-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting a military installation, federal facility, airport, hospital, school district, or similar campus environment.• Experience managing services that include day porter work, evening routes, periodic floor care, and special-access spaces.
• Familiarity with SDS review, approved-product controls, and corrective-action response processes.
